Acupuncture

Acupuncture is an ancient approach in Chinese medicine, treating a variety of conditions. It is a form of holistic healing that has been practiced for 2,500 years. It is done by positioning very thin needles at specific nerve-rich areas of the body to let the body know it needs to respond. This response triggers the organs of the body to operate more efficiently, thereby alleviating pain. The needles can vary in thickness and most patients say they experience little to no pain. The World Health Organization (WHO) and the National Institute of Health (NIH) recognize acupuncture as a safe and effective treatment for a wide range of health concerns.

What to expect on your first visit:

Your first visit can last up to 60 minutes. Our acupuncturist will review your medical history, symptoms, and concerns so as to provide you with what treatment options will achieve the desired results. This is not a one-size-fits-all kind of therapy. The number of treatments will vary per person and depends entirely on your overall wellness and the focus area of concern. A customized treatment plan will be discussed and provided at your initial consult.

Massage

It can also help improve focus and clarity.

At CaTara we take nutrition seriously because we know that to have healthy, radiant skin it isn’t just about what you put on your body, you must be mindful about what you are feeding your body.

Our nutrition counseling starts with an evaluation of your current homeostatic/nutritional state and from there we will develop a plan specific to you and your needs. Our provider will walk you through the importance of quality supplementation, the benefits of gut health, identify food sensitivities and allergies, and suggest proper micro/macro nutrient balance. Our goal is to help you find renewed energy, improved focus and a more balanced nutritional intake to achieve optimal health.
