What is a Dermal Filler?

Dermal fillers helps to dimish facial lines and restore volume and fullnes in the face.

As we age, our faces naturally lose subcutaneous fat. The facial muscles are then working closer to the skin, so smile lines and crow's feet become more apparent.

The facial skin also stretches a bit, adding to this loss of facial volume. Dermal fillers can be very helpful in those with early signs or aging, or as a value-added part of facial rejuvenation surgery.

Bellafill Dermal Filler: The Long Lasting Dermal Filler

In addition to immediately plumping wrinkles known as smile lines, Bellafill helps re-create the firmer structure of younger looking skin. Each Bellafill injection is a mixture of bovine collagen, which provides immediate support; and biocompatible microspheres, which provide lasting support. These microspheres have been used in medical applications for over 60 years. They create a microscopic \'matrix\' to support your body\'s own natural collagen and ultimately strengthen the layers that support your skin needs for wrinkle correction and younger looking skin. Bellafill is an FDA approved dermal filler and will continue to keep you looking young for 7-10 years.

What is a Neurotoxin?

A neurotoxin paralyzes the nerves so that the muscles cannot contract.  In order for muscles to contract, nerves release a chemical messenger, a neurotransmitter, at the junction where the nerve endings meet muscle cells. The neurotransmitter attaches to receptors on the muscle cells and causes the muscle cells to contract or shorten.

Botox Cosmetics (Neurotoxin)

Wrinkles result from a combination of many factors. It's not just about cellular changes, collagen depletion, or damage caused by free radicals. When you frown or concentrate, the muscles between your brows contract, causing your skin to furrow and fold. And when you squint, the muscles around your eye contract and cause crow's feet.

Botox Cosmetics works beneath the skin's surface and targets the underlying muscle activity that caused frown lines and crow's feet to form over time.

We offer BellafillTM (formally known as Artefill™), Juvederm Voluma XC™ and Juvederm XC™ Dermal Fillers and BOTOX Cosmetics Neurotoxin.
